Such a evocative name for this little spring gem, named by the brilliant plantsman Christopher Lloyd. The contrast of the bright yellow flowers and the glossy purple bronze foliage make this low growing plant stand out in a spring garden.

Easy to grow and ideal for a woodland style area such as under shrubs or trees. It is summer dormant, all growth disappears until the spring when it reappears and looks wonderful. Will grow in sun or part-shade, in any good soil.
